, D: _7 p3 p3 ]' h( \! xYes, when they merged 3 planets into 1 for the Orion server galaxy merge, players on the 1 planet (that had the 2 merged into them) kept all possessions and trade routes while the players on the 2 other planets (that merged into the 1) lost all their possessions and trade routes.  Clearly, all possessions and trade routes should be reset for everyone.  But I'm still not making a 2nd Kong account, so unless the programmer decides to work for a whole afternoon to write the logic code, it's all going to be moot.  Oh, using research # would probably be better than the hero level dear programmers.  I highly doubt there would be a single account (on both servers) with the same research # and clearly, the higher one is the main account.

TBH this shouldn't be done as there will be issues all the way around... As for me I had an orion account.  I believe the main comm is higher lvl than my gemini one.  But I want my gemini because i've put much more work into it than my orion.  I'm actually an inverse of what many people will want (better accounts are usually older ones)  Also I agree with rhonan about the misbalance in techs and fleets is going to put all of gemini at a disadvantage of several months build time.   Not to mention the fact of the rankings being skewed in favor of orion being them having more time to gain ranks.

Seriously, the programmer doesn't even have to work for a whole afternoon if they just have the Admins make an announcement that whatever account you want deleted should be abandoned now.  Do not log onto it again.   After 10 days, delete inactive accounts.  Why did they ever bring them back anyway?  Only THEN should they merge the servers.  That way, everyone can CHOOSE which account they want gone and other than waiting for a few extra days, the programmers don't have to do anything that they've not done a dozen times before.

Ok, heres the dirty little secret....that giamungous account sitting next to you probably doesn't want  anything that you have...not your little pile of resources, not your tps...NOTHING.

no Neminsis..  i'm on both..  not really an issue for me which one survives..  i just strongly believe that it's a bad idea.  the problem of  bigger players on orion coming over is that their resources and levels were generated under previous circumstances that skewed the system..  which is why many of us took the opportunity to rebuild in gemini.   if you bring them over, you bring over the problems that gemini was created to avoid.

( l& U( N2 H  E8 M4 S+ jso just checked...  i have 120K rares on Orion in a single colony and 364MILL - and stacks of ships.  this will cause instant inflation on gemini, rare imbalances, and not to mention unfair competition.  those issues affect all players not just those who big players.  Moving the other way is worse as people who struggle to get 10M in gemini for research are working against those with massive resources

equally gemini has it's own problems - including the number of red commanders due to the level1 rejuve bug..  players who advanced through corsair MXP packs or arena misue..

when they merged planets in the past, they went 3 into 1, they left the players on the remaining 1 untouched and disconnected and randomised all the new arrivals.  it was a mess.

How is anyone "working against those resources"? If every other player disappeared all at once it wouldn't gain me a single bit more resource production. If a thousand more came it wouldn't change my resource production either. Up until they decided that the only way for them to climb was to try and bring me down, but attacking upward is generally a bad idea.: {5 j2 |! z2 q

Given history I can understand your not wanting to be in the same universe as certain people but that was a history that you chose. I fully expect Gemini to bring with it war, because simple people think that they can destroy their way to the top rather than build to it.

simple facts the servers even by your own admittance Tir are dying the player base is no where near big enough .But what they are proposing is going to be very messy and mistakes made. Abacus has a point .. delete any accounts not logged for a week and that's that when you log in will be with the account u have chosen , i personally don't care which so long as i have the account i've been working on since dec. Why should i lose that just because i chose to stay on the original server?.
9 t% D$ b) G" BSuggestion of Abacus idea to the devs also clear all nodes tps and forts there you have a fair base. even add to that a no aggression for (x) amount of days for people to settle and relocate if needed, give compensation packs suck as colony movers but make sure they can move to the outer planets, you will then find that the *more* established players are not suffocating any smaller ones, the introduction of the next upgrade eliminates that anyway which all seem to be forgetting ... The bigger players cannot attack the lower ranked after update...' J$ g6 k7 C# R+ p
You cant just wipe orion or gemini both had worked hard to get where they have, my above ideas are how every other game ive been on handles a merge.

A couple of months ago I asked Barbily about the merger and expressed concern that I do not want to lose all of my hard work in my orion account. Barbily stated not to worry and that we will be taken care of. I expect Barbily to stand by there word.4 U* D' z: S0 {* G+ l* y
I too opened an account on Gemini because Barbily suggested that we check it out. I have done nothing on that account and want no part of it in a merger. 9 Q% [" d# p. a4 L  [3 P
